Guernsey Financial Services Commission is recruiting for a Lawyer, to be a Deputy Director within its Legal Team.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • A track record of effectively forming and delivering constructive and reasonable advice, including the ability to make sound judgements;
  • A sharp intellect – demonstrated by a record of achievement in their career to date either with a financial services regulator, within the financial services industry or within government;
  • Tenacity, an understanding of the art of the possible, and the ability to communicate these things in a positive, proactive, pragmatic manner that engenders confidence from colleagues; and
  • An ability to be administratively competent, operating as part of the wider Commission, in a resource constrained and often pressured environment. 

Experience of management and policy formation is also highly desirable.
