The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
- A track record of effectively forming and delivering constructive and reasonable advice, including the ability to make sound judgements;
- A sharp intellect – demonstrated by a record of achievement in their career to date either with a financial services regulator, within the financial services industry or within government;
- Tenacity, an understanding of the art of the possible, and the ability to communicate these things in a positive, proactive, pragmatic manner that engenders confidence from colleagues; and
- An ability to be administratively competent, operating as part of the wider Commission, in a resource constrained and often pressured environment.
Experience of management and policy formation is also highly desirable.
